It calculates annual rewards value based on your actual spending patterns, subtracts annual fees, and ranks cards by net annual value. This way, you can see which card truly pays you the most.

Should I get a card with an annual fee?

It depends on your spending. Cards with annual fees often offer higher rewards rates and perks (lounge access, travel credits, purchase protections). If the annual rewards value plus perks exceed the fee, it is worth it. Our optimizer calculates net value (rewards minus fee) so you can see exactly whether a fee card pays for itself with your spending.
